Pastor Michaela has been in full time ministry since 2001. She earned a BA in Psychology from the Univerity of Vermont in Burlington VT,, MDiv from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas TX and is currently working on a Dmin in Church Leadership at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC.
Michaela believes that vital mainline churches are key in reaching new people of all ages who have been turned off by more fundamental expressions of Christian Faith. Michaela believes that the Christian faith is first a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This relationship is based on the individual. Each person has a unique way of experiencing and expressing their love of God. All Christians have in common a deep, loving and trusting relationship with Jesus Christ, but how this is expressed is determined by the gifts and skills of the individual.
Christians don't agree on everything, but the wonderful part of being a United Methodist is that we can disagree and at the same time respect the others' point of view, and serve God together in a loving relationship with each other.
Earlville and Poolville Methodist Churches are both congregations of people who believe and live these values. It is a joy to be in ministry with them.
